Paws-For-Thought respects your privacy. This policy explains how information is used when you browse the website, make an enquiry or order a personalised keepsake.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order details, uploaded photographs, pet names, dates, wording, gift notes, correspondence, payment status and basic device, cookie and analytics information.
Why we use it
We use information to respond to enquiries, take payment, review and produce personalised products, provide delivery and support, prevent fraud, maintain security and keep legally required business and accounting records.
Lawful bases
Order information is primarily processed because it is necessary to take steps at your request and perform the sales contract. Legal obligations apply to tax and accounting records. Security, service improvement and limited analytics may rely on legitimate interests where appropriate. Non-essential cookies or direct marketing rely on consent where consent is required.
Photographs and personalisation
Uploaded photographs and wording are used only to prepare, review, produce, deliver and support the ordered keepsake. You must own the photograph or have permission to reproduce it. We do not sell customer photographs or use them for unrelated marketing without permission.
Payments and fulfilment partners
Stripe processes payment information. WooCommerce manages the order. Necessary order, artwork and delivery information may be shared with Printful or another disclosed fulfilment or delivery provider. Only information needed for the service is shared.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this occurs, the provider must use an applicable legal transfer mechanism and safeguards required by UK data-protection law.
Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies may be used for security, carts and checkout. Analytics and other non-essential technologies should be used only in accordance with the choices presented by the site’s cookie controls.
How long information is kept
Order and accounting records are normally retained for the period required by UK tax and legal obligations. Enquiries are kept only while needed for customer service and reasonable business records. Uploaded photographs and personalisation files should be deleted when no longer required to fulfil, support or resolve issues concerning the order, subject to backup-retention cycles and legal requirements.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, or withdraw consent. Some records must still be retained for legal or contractual reasons. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
